Originally known as The European Technology and Travel Services Association (ETTSA), the organization was launched in 2009 to promote and represent its members’ interests to policymakers and industry players. EU Travel Tech recognizes that technology is changing the travel landscape, and it invests in research and development to provide cutting-edge solutions.
Thanks to the efforts of its members, consumers now have unprecedented choice when buying travel online, compared to just three decades ago when organizing travel was complicated and expensive.
The organization represents all players in the travel tech ecosystem, including online travel agencies (OTAs), travel management companies (TMCs), metasearch platforms, and global distribution systems (GDSs). These entities work together to build a consumer-driven, innovative, and competitive travel and tourism industry that harnesses digitization while prioritizing transparency and sustainability.
